THIS SUNDAY IN WORSHIP
Please join us in worship on Sunday as Pastor Jonathan shares with us his message entitled “The Kingdom of God is a Whole New World”. The scripture lesson is Luke 12:22-34 using “The Message”.
We have postponed Homecoming due to Covid-19 with the hopes that we can better celebrate in our usual way on All Saints Sunday, November 7th.

SPECIAL OFFERING FOR RELIEF EFFORTS IN WESTERN NORTH CAROLINA
Most of us watched the news footage of the deaths and destruction caused by flooding in Canton, Clyde, and Cruso areas of Haywood County because of the aftermath of Tropical Storm Fred the last week of August. Recovery work continues and they need our help. According to the North Carolina Department of Safety, recovery from Tropical Storm Fred will likely be a three to four-year process. Bishop Ken Carter has asked the churches in the Western North Carolina Conference to ask their members for donations to help with the support of a local person who will assist our missional network with the long-term response and provide support for mission teams in the coming years to help rebuild this area. If you can give an extra financial gift over the next few weeks, we will be collecting these and sending them on to the Conference Office for this special relief project. Please designate by indicating “Mountain Flood Relief” on the subject line of your check and they can be collected during the worship services, or you can mail them to the church office.
PASTOR APPRECIATION MONTH
As we know, October is Pastor Appreciation Month. We are blessed to have Pastor Jonathan and his family with us since July and to have Pastor Grady as our Pastor Emeritus. The following is shared for anyone who may be looking for suggestions on “what/how to share”.
