THIS SUNDAY IN WORSHIP
We hope you will join with us this Sunday, January 8th as we begin a new sermon series with Pastor Byron. “Making Your Life a Masterpiece”; a breathtaking painting or an unforgettable symphony is no accident — it requires hard work, focus and persistence to create a masterpiece. In the same way, a great life doesn't happen by accident. It requires a commitment to personal and spiritual growth.

God has shown us how to make our lives a work of art. We have his Word to give us direction, and his Spirit to give us strength. When we rely on him, we are able to face obstacles with confidence. In the process we experience profound personal change — as God makes our lives into his masterpiece.

This Sunday’s message is “What Do You Think of Yourself?”, with the scripture lesson from Ephesians 3:1-12.
 
UNITED METHODIST MEN
The United Methodist Men will meet this Sunday, January 8th at 7:30am in the Christian Life Center. All men of the church are invited to join in this time of coffee, breakfast, and great fellowship. Cook Team 1 will be preparing the breakfast for this meeting. 

ATTENTION KEENAGERS
Let’s start off this New Year with some good food, fun, and fellowship at Stacy’s Restaurant this Monday, January 9th, at 11:00am. Please be there promptly at 11 so they can get our orders before their lunch time rush. 

CHURCH BASKETBALL
Mt. Pleasant will have a basketball team playing in the winter league at Maiden Recreation Center under the leadership of Fred Roseman. Games begin on January 19th. If you are interested and have not done so, please contact Fred at 828-578-5250. A schedule of games will be posted on the bulletin board outside the church office and in the hallways near the entrances to the Narthex.
