Teresa Hewitt

I am Teresa Hewitt and have grown up in Iredell County. I have always been interested in playing the piano. Beginning in third grade, I took lessons for eight years. At age sixteen, I began playing the piano for my church. In college, I continued my musical training, graduating with a BA in Music Education from Catawba College.

After raising two children, William and Claire, being church organist, teaching private piano and being involved in a family business that has since been sold, I have taught music and worked in a school library in Iredell-Statesville, accompanied vocal students at Lenoir-Rhyne College, and assisted in kindergarten at Huntersville Elementary School. I am also a member of the Mitchell Community College Community Chorus in Statesville. The “just for fun” job I had was working for a thrift store from 10:00-5:00 three days a week. I met many different kinds of people and that was quite interesting.

My husband Todd and I live on Lake Norman with five cats. We enjoy the outdoors especially when we are working in our yard or vacationing in the mountains.
